Adjustable Rate Mortgages (ARM)7
This type of mortgage is best suited for homeowners who are looking to maximize an initial lower monthly payment or plan to move in a few years.
Interest rate and monthly principal and interest payment stays the same for an initial period of time (such as 5, 7, or 10 years) then your payment will move up or down semi-annually as interest rates fluctuate (the variable portion)
